Ergon Refining, Inc., in Vicksburg is currently recruiting for an Incident Investigation Coordinator that will lead, and drive for improvement of the site incident investigation program.
Accountabilities include leading major incident and near miss investigations for the entire facility with a focus on continuous improvement strategies, coordinating support for other minor investigations and ensuring quality is maintained for all investigations, and training of others on investigation methods.
This position also manages all investigation action items to closure, coordinates and shares lessons learned throughout the company and within industry and gathers information as needed for site and corporate metrics.
Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field and five years of operations experience in a refining or chemical processing facility. Knowledge and experience leading incident investigations using an applicable methodology such as Root Cause Analysis is required, with knowledge of OSHA’s PSM standard being desired. This position also requires a self-motivated person that pays attention to details with excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
