The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Department at Mirror Lake has two openings for Environmental Engineers.
These positions evaluate the applicability of federal, state, and local environmental regulations to company operations and develop written programs that help ensure compliance. These positions also use engineering practices to address environmental issues, including efficiency, resource management, and public policy compliance.
The persons selected will provide engineering guidance regarding environmentally-related activities, complete environmental permitting and compliance documentation for assigned facilities, and inspect industrial facilities and programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The persons chosen will facilitate the implementation of facility environmental plans and programs and assist facilities with waste management decision making including proper procedures for onsite/offsite handling and treatment and disposal alternatives.
A degree in engineering with at least seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in the environmental compliance field is required for one of the positions, while the other requires a degree in engineering and at least two (2) to five (5) years of experience in the environmental compliance field.
P.E., P.G., QEP, CHMM or CSP credentials (or currently working to attain) are preferred. Working knowledge of federal environmental regulations regarding air emissions, water discharge permits, and hazardous waste management and disposal is a must. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. A commitment to frequent overnight travel is required.
