ErgonArmor: Assistant Facility Manager

ErgonArmor, a division of Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc., located in Kansas City, Kansas is seeking an Assistant Facility Manager for our manufacturing facility. This position will assist in directing the manufacturing and shipping of asphalt, acrylic and epoxy -base d products and requires a self-motivated individual, capable of handling a complex operation. The position is responsible for leading daily operations, engaging employees through mentoring and development while promoting positive relationships with all partners (i.e., employees, vendors, contractors, etc.). This position is accountable for protecting the environment, facility assets and the health/safety of everyone at the site. This includes maintaining a safe work environment and planning the use of materials and human resources to meet business goals and objectives. This position is also responsible for product quality, delivery of product, costs, company policies, regulatory compliance, maintenance and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications will include: High school diploma with post high school education, three plus years of job­ related experience, management and leadership skills, excellent written and verbal communications, experience with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), mechanical knowledge, strong organizational skills, ability to multi -task and to work cooperatively with employees and all partners.

The position requires the flexibility of working from both inside the office and on the production floor/ warehouse. Physical requirements are needed: bending, lifting (up to seventy pounds), walking and standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders and opening/closing valves {i.e., twisting of body).
