Ergon, Inc.: Director - Asset & Operational Integrity

The Risk Management Department at Mirror Lake is currently seeking a Director - Asset & Operational Integrity to join their team. 

This position will provide overall leadership, professional knowledge, and expertise as it relates to Ergon’s asset and operational integrity and process safety initiatives.  The position will be responsible for developing innovative solutions for evolving standards and ensuring excellence with applicable regulations and corporate standards. 

Regular accountabilities will include developing, implementing, and maintaining Ergon’s Corporate asset integrity guidelines and process safety policies and procedures, developing, tracking, and communicating process safety KPIs to business unit and Senior Management teams, reporting to Senior Management on potential risk, compliance status, and impacts of new safety regulations, providing technical support to Ergon companies regarding OSHA’s PSM and EPA’s RMP rules, overseeing incident investigations, and providing support and assistance to all Ergon companies regarding process safety systems and programs.

A bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, is required for this position.  Preferably eight to ten years of experience as Process Safety Lead and five years of experience in refinery/chemical operations and/or engineering, including five years in an area associated with process safety, are desired.  Working knowledge of OSHA’s PSM and EPA’s RMP standards and federal and state regulations governing process safety are musts.  The person selected for this position must be able to lead incident investigations, be able to work independently and manage multiple priorities to achieve process safety goals, and be able to effectively communicate process safety status, progress, and goals to Senior Management.  Periodic travel will be required of this position.
