ISO Services: Outside Sales Representative

Ergon Construction Group is searching for an Outside Sales Representative (OS Sales Rep) for its ISO Services division in Richland, Mississippi. 

The OS Sales Rep is responsible for sales defined by the Business Development (BD) Manager with emphasis being placed on regions where there is currently an Ergon business presence.  The OS Sales Rep will work with the BD Manager on strategic marketing and sales plans and develop contacts within targeted organizations.  The primary focus for the OS Sales Rep is to develop lasting relationships that result in increased business opportunities.

The person chosen must have excellent communication skills present/promote ISO Services in the most positive manner, be able to articulate ISO Services capabilities and history, safety processes, and a summary of project information to customers, resolve any customer issues/disagreements, and keep the ISO Services management team fully informed on all aspects of our customer's needs and important events/interests of customer's key employees.

The person selected will also work out details with each customer for qualifying to provide services (pre-qualification, contracts, safety programs, etc.), follow-up on current projects and ensure client satisfaction, and determine future plans/designs of both existing customers and targeted organizations.  The person chosen will do job walks to determine list of materials, equipment needs, and labor needs, coordinate and attend entertainment activities with clients, attend tradeshows and other events where our customers are present, and produce estimates for bidding projects.

An Associate’s Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, Construction, or Engineering is required, with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, Construction, or Engineering being preferred, or Military service or a demonstrated ability to get construction contracts from industrial customers.  A minimum of two years of experience in industrial sales is required.  The person selected must be self-motivated, be able to work independently without supervision, have good written and communication skills, strong organizational skills, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license and TWIC card.  The person chosen must be physically able to climb ladders and stairs and other activities related to bidding jobs, job-walks, and taking measurements for material take-offs and a willingness to travel as extensive travel is required of this position.
