ISO Services: Operations Manager - CME

Ergon Construction Group is currently recruiting for an Operations Manager - CME (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) for its ISO Services division in Richland, Mississippi. 

The Operations Manager - CME is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the civil, mechanical, and electrical trades.  This includes recruitment, retention, coaching, mentoring, training, and regularly communicating with all employees. This communication also extends to former employees who may be eligible for re-hire as work demands. The Operations Manager - CME is also directly responsible for operational performance of the civil, mechanical, and electrical trades including safety, quality, and financial performance. The Operations Manager - CME is a critical leadership role within ISO Services and will be required to coordinate closely with project managers, HR, QC, EHS, and soft-craft operations groups.

The person chosen will manage employees at both site field construction and shop, define payrates and per diem for regions and jobsites, recruit, interview, and hire employees, assign and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, and address complaints and resolve problems by working with the General Manager and the HR department.  The person chosen will also work with the Safety & Training coordinator to define the training needs and schedule, assess the need for purchasing equipment through feedback from sales personnel, rental managers, customer feedback and supplier sales personnel, and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures and applicable laws.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Construction related field with minimum of three years of Industrial Construction experience or at least seven years of Industrial Construction supervision experience is required.  The person selected must have excellent written and communication skills, a valid driver’s license and TWIC card, and experience with industrial construction, estimating, and/or project controls.  The person chosen must be physically able to work in a jobsite environment for extended periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, climbing ladders, climbing stairs, crouching, and reaching and must be physically able to work in extreme conditions including heavy rain, wind or excessive temperatures.
